Dr. Kathy Parker

Dr Parker graduated in 1981 from WCVM. She established and operated a solo mixed animal practice in Three Hills, Alberta until Oct.2004 and is presently working for Valley Veterinary Clinic (Three Hills). Dr Parker has been actively involved in farming for her entire life, currently operating a pure-bred Suffolk sheep operation with her husband Glen. She has an extensive interest and knowledge of livestock On Farm Food Safety programs, and is a qualified auditor for the beef and pork programs. Parker Stock Farms is the first audited sheep operation in Alberta. Dr Parker is the veterinary advisor member of the working group for Food Safe Farm Practices - the Canadian Sheep On Farm Food Safety Program. She also did extensive work in editing the recently produced Sheep & Goat Management in Alberta.
Kathy is also the Zone 3 Director for the Alberta Lamb Producers.
